Requirements:

Complete a 4x6” drawing study done by another artist.

Must be 4x6.

Must use charcoal
-
Must imitate mark making.

Must have multiple techniques to practice.

Choose a drawing based artist that you want to study and pick one of their artworks to copy:

If you don't choose one from my list you need to clear the artwork with me before starting.

Get outside of your comfort zone and choose a style that is different from your own.

5. Final Project
Requirements:

Gather your supplies and start your drawing.

Minimum size is 11x17
-
You must use at least 3 different techniques in your final drawing.
Directions
1. Choose one of the options:
Option 1

Take a photograph of something you want to draw.
-
Must be your own photograph you take using your camera or phone.
-
Turn your image black and white by using a filter or uploading it into PicMonkey.
OR
Option 2

Find 3 photographs you want to draw and combine to make your own.
-
Save the photographs into the advanced art google classroom.
-
Complete a quick sketch on what the composition will look like.
2. Answer the Following Questions:

What kind of mood are you trying to create?
3. Gather your supplies and start your drawing.

Get the paper or cardboard you want.

Tape it to a board.

Write your name on the board.

Gesture the major shapes.

Fine tune your outline.

Add light midtones.

Add medium midtones

Add dark midtones

Add Blacks
-
Improve craftmanship.

Grade your project and turn it in with your name.
