Spend 5-10 minutes looking up the following materials. Then circle the one you want to do for your final project on your Project Planning Sheet.

Step 2: Meet the Experts
Directions:

Click on the artist names below to see how the masters use their materials. Pick one that you like and look even more at their website.

Then in your sketchbook do a sketch of your favorite artwork from the artists you explored and write why you like their work.

Start the video to figure out what supplies you need.

Pause the video and get the supplies out.

Work along with the artist pausing the video in between techniques so you have time to do it yourself.

Write your name on your technique study, you will turn it in at the END of the project.

Step 5: Envision and Sketch
Overview:

In this step it is important for you to think about how you are going to incorporate your personal interests. Will you use color to create a mood or feeling? Will you use shapes? Will you create a paper template to help you track what your design will look like? Will you explore different materials? What will your main idea be? This is where you will make a plan for how you will complete your project.

Find the video below that matches the project you chose and watch it. Follow the directions to get your project started.

If you can't find a video for your project, go back and watch the video from the artist study to help you with your process OR do additional research and find a process on YouTube or an article to give you ideas on how to start.

Rewatch and pause as needed.

Get out your final materials and get started!
